REBECCA ANN CLEGG
ARTIST CV
Biography
Mutlimedia artist Rebecca Ann Clegg is currently living in Birmingham and studying BA Fine Art (Hons) at Birmigham School of Art (Birmingham City University). Recently Rebecca has explored sculpture and developed a special interest in pre fabricated architecture, . Her work responds to the brutalist surroundings of birmimham and highlights the skill of the crafstman, employing concepts of mass reprodution and the use of industrial materials. While she would identify as a sculptor or installation artist, in recent years her work has explored the defined make up of traditional paintings styles through a series of abstracted canvases. and turned her curiosity towards the more surreal aspect of narratives within paintings. In her final year her artwork continues to revolve around process and making, with a focus on the interaction between computer aided design and the hand made.
